Fans Track More Than 1,500 Compatible Titles For Xbox Disc To Digital

After a short Xbox Insider test, the Disc to Digital feature is now available to everyone, letting owners of supported physical Xbox One and Series X discs claim digital licenses. Fans have assembled compatibility lists, with XCT.live currently showing 1,568 supported games, including recent SEGA and Ubisoft additions. Square Enix and Bandai Namco are not participating yet, many early Xbox One discs and some licensed titles such as Forza Horizon 3 do not work, and Xbox 360 games are excluded.
After a brief Xbox Insider trial, Disc to Digital became available to all users. It lets people with qualifying physical Xbox One and Series X discs obtain digital licenses. Microsoft has not published an official compatibility list, so community efforts fill the gap. XCT.live currently reports 1,568 supported titles, including newly added SEGA and Ubisoft games. True Achievements and ResetEra also host fan-maintained lists and confirmation threads.
Compatibility remains uneven. Square Enix and Bandai Namco have not joined the program so far, many early Xbox One discs from 2013 to mid-2014 fail, and licensing complications keep titles such as Forza Horizon 3 out. Xbox 360 games are not included.
The feature may simplify access for collectors who own supported discs, letting them keep digital copies without repurchasing. It could also reduce reliance on disc drives and make libraries more portable across consoles. However, uneven publisher participation and gaps for older or licensed titles may leave some owners excluded. Community lists could become important consumer references, shaping purchasing decisions and expectations around physical media's long-term value.
