Ubisoft marks 40th anniversary with deep discounts on Switch and Switch 2 titles
Ubisoft has launched a new sale on the Nintendo eShop to celebrate its 40th anniversary. The promotion includes record-low prices for several titles, such as Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection and Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition. Discounts also apply to the Mario + Rabbids series and other Ubisoft games on both Switch and Switch 2.
The promotion spans both current and previous-generation Nintendo hardware, with the deepest cuts targeting established franchises. Assassin's Creed: The Ezio Collection now sits at $7.99, a significant drop from its original $39.99 asking price, while Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition has been reduced to $11.98. Both Mario + Rabbids titles are available for under six dollars each.
Switch 2 owners also have options, with Assassin's Creed Shadows marked down to roughly half its launch cost. The Rogue Prince of Persia appears on both platforms at $8.99, down from its original $29.99 price. The sale remains active through October 8, 2026, giving shoppers approximately two weeks to review the full selection of discounted games.
The sale could make major Ubisoft franchises more accessible to players who have been waiting for price reductions, particularly families and younger gamers on tighter budgets. The markdowns may also drive additional engagement with the Switch 2 platform during its early adoption phase. For Ubisoft, the promotion could help clear inventory and maintain brand visibility, though the steep discounts might suggest some titles are nearing the end of their commercial relevance.
