Polygon highlights six PlayStation 5 games arriving in October 2026, including Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition and Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. The month's lineup spans multiple genres, from a Star Wars racer to a kungfupunk action title. The piece frames October as a busy period before November's major launches like Zelda and GTA 6.
Polygon's October 2026 PS5 preview collects six titles, including Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition, Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Valor Mortis, and Anomalith. The lineup covers re-release DLC, flight combat, racing, first-person Soulslike action, and survival horror.
Ghost of Yōtei's Complete Edition adds the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, a Most Wanted roguelike mode, and a free update. Ace Combat 8 returns to the series after a 2019 gap. Galactic Racer mixes roguelike racing with Star Wars. Valor Mortis comes from the Ghostrunner team. Anomalith follows a teenager in Anomaly Zones.
This roundup may shape what PS5 owners notice and buy during a crowded release window. Readers looking for specific genres could discover smaller titles alongside major franchises, while developers may benefit from increased visibility before November's blockbusters. The emphasis on variety could also influence online discussion and wishlists, though actual impact depends on reviews, pricing, and player interest.
