Control Resonant's 1.4.0 Update Adds Endless New Game++ and PC Performance Fixes

Remedy has rolled out Title Update 1.4.0 for Control Resonant. It adds New Game++, which allows unlimited additional playthroughs after the campaign, along with clearer progress and vendor tracking. The patch also reduces combat in the Unknown Zone, adds audio options, and brings PC improvements for DLSS Frame Generation, HDR, ray tracing, frame limits, ultrawide screens, and performance.
Remedy's 1.4.0 patch for Control Resonant introduces New Game++, letting players replay indefinitely after completing the campaign. It also surfaces Build Power on the Loadout screen, flags new purchases or upgrades in The Gap via the HUD, and lets pinned materials appear on the map when a vendor stocks them. The Unknown Zone's combat intensity drops by 10% to 15%.
Audio changes include a separate radio dialogue slider, an option to silence copyrighted music, Razer haptics, and improved DualSense effects. PC-specific work targets minimum and recommended hardware while refining DLSS Frame Generation, HDR, ray tracing, frame caps, and ultrawide support. AMD also issued optional drivers.
The update could affect players across PC and console, especially those on lower-spec PCs or ultrawide and HDR displays, by making performance and visual settings more reliable. Extended New Game++ and clearer vendor tracking may deepen engagement for completionists, while audio and assist-mode options could help players tailor the experience. AMD's optional drivers may reduce crashes for some Radeon users. Overall, the patch may improve retention and goodwill, though its broader societal reach remains limited to the game's audience.
