Glass Head Dolls Reveals PS5-Exclusive Action RPG Coming Within Months
Glass Head Dolls has announced Prison of Husks, a new action RPG exclusive to PS5 that draws inspiration from classic PlayStation titles and soulslike games. The title is scheduled to release within the next few months and will appeal to players nostalgic for PlayStation 2 era aesthetics and design. The game will be published by Wings and aims to offer a unique experience within the action RPG genre.
Glass Head Dolls has unveiled Prison of Husks, positioning the title as a fresh entry in the action RPG landscape. The studio has crafted an experience that synthesizes design philosophies from beloved PlayStation 2-era games while incorporating modern soulslike mechanics, a combination that speaks to a particular player demographic seeking that nostalgic blend with contemporary challenge-based combat systems.
This announcement may appeal primarily to players with established preferences for action RPGs and PlayStation's legacy titles, potentially influencing purchasing decisions among that audience segment. The exclusive positioning could reinforce PlayStation 5's library diversity within the action genre, while the soulslike influence suggests the title targets seasoned players rather than broader casual audiences. Such releases contribute to platform differentiation in the competitive console market.
