Sony's September 2026 PlayStation Store rankings cover PS5, PS4, PS VR2, and free-to-play titles. On PS5, Marvel’s Wolverine was first in the US/Canada and second in the EU, while EA Sports FC 27 reversed those positions.
Red Dead Redemption 2 led PS4 downloads in the US/Canada; EA Sports FC 27 led in the EU. I Am Cat topped PS VR2 in both regions. Free-to-play leaders were Call of Duty: Warzone in the US/Canada and Aniimo in the EU.
Monthly download charts could influence which games players notice and buy, especially when major franchises occupy the top spots. Publishers may cite rankings in marketing, while smaller studios could face harder discovery. Regional differences, such as sports leading in Europe and action-adventure leading in North America, may reflect local tastes and shape future promotions. Players themselves may use these lists as a quick guide, though popularity does not necessarily indicate quality or personal fit.
