The mobile edition has been reworked for touch controls and vertical orientation, with the first four of eight episodes free and the complete game priced at $19.99. AdHoc Studio will release Dispatch for iOS and Android on December 9, 2026. The mobile edition has been adapted for touch input and portrait orientation. It contains eight episodes; the opening four will be free, while the complete version costs $19.99. Pre-registration is planned for Google Play, and App Store pre-orders will also be offered.
The launch aligns with Dispatch's first anniversary and follows more than five million players across existing platforms. Existing deluxe edition owners will receive a free update. Anniversary plans include merchandise, printed comics, and a live soundtrack performance in Los Angeles on December 3. Nick Herman, AdHoc's co-creative director and COO, commented on the team and development process.
Dispatch's mobile debut could widen access for players who prefer phones, potentially expanding its audience beyond existing platforms. The free opening episodes may lower the barrier to entry, while the $19.99 full unlock could test willingness to pay for premium narrative games on mobile. Touch and vertical support may change how players engage with the story. Anniversary events and merchandise could strengthen community ties. Developers and publishers may watch whether this release encourages more narrative titles to target mobile.
