Sanrio Kawaii Me Live! Opens Mobile Pre-Registration Ahead of 2027 Launch

Sanrio has begun taking pre-registrations for Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!, a mobile rhythm and dance title scheduled for January 2027. Players can dress Sanrio characters, customize stages and effects, and choose between simpler Performance Mode or full Technical Mode. The game will include familiar Sanrio songs, exclusive remixes, and original music collaborations, with Almond Dialogue serving as its theme song.
Sanrio’s upcoming app mixes rhythm play with dress-up and stage design. It is slated for January 2027, and sign-ups are already open through Google Play. Players can choose characters, change outfits, decorate venues, and add visual effects. Two control styles are offered: a relaxed Performance option and a more demanding Technical option.
Music includes the Sanrio Puroland parade number KAWAII FESTIVAL and Pompompurin and Muffin’s Pompom Beat☆, along with remixes made only for the game. Universal Music acts Soala, SHE’S, Lienel, Polkadot Stingray, Yabai T-Shirts Yasan, and Mi’Line Hearts contribute original tracks; ZUTOMAYO also collaborates. Almond Dialogue by Zutto Mayonaka de Ii no ni. is the theme song.
The release may give Sanrio fans a new social and creative mobile space, especially younger players and rhythm-game enthusiasts. Customization and music collaborations could encourage sharing performances online, possibly extending Sanrio’s reach into gaming communities. It may also introduce artists to players who mainly follow character brands. Success could depend on monetization, device performance, and how well touch controls suit rhythm play.
