Santa Monica Studio’s God of War Laufey is set for PS5 on February 16, 2027, with preorders opening September 29 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Early purchasers receive the Last Wish Armor Set, a Phranque Golden Leaves cosmetic, and an in-game resource pack. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds Dark Alchemy armor, blade, bow scales, and catalyst, plus resources, a mini artbook, and the soundtrack.
Faye’s Serpent Bow offers full-aim precision with extended draw distance and targeted shots, plus half-aim hip-fire for mobile close-range bursts. It can charge up to five arrows and use varied arrow types. Equippable Scales change its look and perk, while unlockable skills broaden its capabilities.
The announcement may energize PlayStation owners and God of War fans, shaping preorder habits and launch-window spending. Digital storefronts and retailers could see traffic spikes when preorders open by local time. Bundled cosmetics and digital extras may prompt some players to compare edition value. Faye’s starring role could also influence broader discussion of action-game protagonists, though real impact depends on reception and release execution.
