Dillo Interactive Announces Occult Creature-Collector RPG for Switch
Dillo Interactive has revealed Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2, a creature-collector RPG coming to Nintendo Switch in 2027. Players will join one of four underworld cults to summon and collect over 100 creatures while engaging in 3v3 turn-based battles against other cult leaders. The game features four specialized sects with unique abilities, relics, and strategic gameplay mechanics.
Creepy Horrors: Blood Cult 2 represents Dillo Interactive's entry into the creature-collection genre with an occult twist. The game's progression system emphasizes resource management, allowing players to sacrifice cultists and unwanted creatures to obtain crafting components for upgrades. An early access playtest on Steam currently showcases over 20 creatures and multiple dungeon environments, providing developers feedback before the full 2027 Switch launch featuring the complete roster of 100+ creatures.
The four sect factions create distinct playstyles and strategic depth. Secta Daemonum prioritizes offense, Secta Mortuorum emphasizes defense, Secta Spirituum focuses on status effects, and Secta Cryptidarum specializes in evasion mechanics. Each faction has exclusive creatures and relics, potentially encouraging multiple playthroughs to experience all faction-specific content and strategies.
This announcement could impact the creature-collector market segment by offering a darker aesthetic alternative to mainstream titles in the genre. The 2027 release window suggests modest expected competition during that period. Switch players seeking mature-themed gameplay may find appeal in the occult setting. The game's emphasis on strategic team-building in turn-based combat may attract both casual collectors and competitive players, potentially expanding the audience for indie RPGs on Nintendo's platform.
